Membership

Members of the St. Louis Chapter, NECA work in all facets of electrical construction and low-voltage communications and represent some of the most accomplished electrical contractors in the U.S.  All are concerned about improving their bottom line, working safely, staying at the technological forefront of the electrical trades, and a host of other business-related concerns.  Membership helps to make your business more profitable in several ways:

Legislative Affairs
All contractors need a voice at the local, state, and federal level. As our national association tagline boasts, we are “The Voice of the Electrical Construction Industry” at all levels.  NECA national concentrates its lobbying efforts and resource at the federal level, while the St. Louis Chapter, NECA is that voice for all electrical contractors at the local and state level.

Chapter Events
The Chapter holds meetings on a regular basis for members to meet both professionally and socially.  Educational workshops are often held in conjunction with these meetings dealing with topics such as general business, estimating, project management, future leadership, human resources, marketing, and much more.  We also have fun with outings such as our annual Installation of Officers & Dinner Dance, Golf Tournament, and Summer Social St. Louis Cardinals Baseball Game.

Education & Training
NECA’s educational programs keep you at the forefront of the electrical contracting industry. With programs on a wide range of topics, NECA has both your professional growth and your company’s future covered.

Awards & Recognition
Each year, NECA presents the following awards to members of the Association and industry leaders in recognition of their outstanding contributions to the Industry at the NECA annual convention and trade show.

Networking
Local chapter and national NECA meetings are an opportunity to meet your colleagues from throughout the industry and exchange information about business skills, new technologies, new ideas, and business contracts.

Affinity Programs

    • Marketing - In addition to having professional speakers to help contractors market their businesses, the St. Louis Chapter has created an affinity program with a local marketing firm specializing in the construction market.  This program allows members to receive marketing services at a discount to traditional agencies.  These services include brand messaging, website development, social media management, traditional advertising & PR and much more. For more information on marketing services, visit Marketeer Inc.
    • Safety – The St. Louis Chapter, NECA has partnered with National Safety Consulting to make safety resources available to all members. A few of those benefits include quarterly training, 24/7 access to the NECA Safety Hotline, eight (8) hours of safety consulting for each member per year, and four (4) hours of emergency response in the event of an OSHA visit, incident, or injury.  Equally, National Safety Consulting provides additional services to members on a discounted basis, including creation of a personalized safety manual with training for employees, OSHA citation consultations, and arc flash training to name a few. At NECA, we work hard to ensure our members are the safest electrical contractors in the industry.
